Reproducing your art
The steps in reproducing art
- Consultation about the final size of the reproduction and the choice of substrate that will give the desired interpretation.
- Image capture via photography or scanning of the original artwork.
- Print file preparation generally includes clean-up, sharpening, colour and tone correction.
- An interactive proofing process between the artist and the printer.
- Making the final prints.
Set-up Packages
Set-up packages are available for artists doing reproductions. They include all of the above except the final prints and are a one-time charge. There are no additional set-up charges for reprints at a later date.
Two adjusted jpg files are also included as part of the set-up package at no extra charge: one sized for your website and one suitable for desktop printers.
As a special service to our customers doing canvas prints, we will also create a colour-matched border for the sides.

A la carte Services and Other Packages
We also provide a la carte imaging services such as photography, high resolution scans, and digital file adjustments as well as set-up packages without photography. Prices can be found here.
When do I need the reproduction set-up package?
Knowledge and proficiency in graphics hardware and software are needed to create a print-ready digital file that can be used for a successful fine art Giclée. It is an economical choice for individuals not proficient in graphics software and professional photography. The set-up is done once and then we use the same digital file for subsequent prints.

The test print
Unlimited proofs or test prints are included in the set-up package. After you review and compare the initial proofs to your original, we make the necessary adjustments. If required, additional test prints will be done at no extra charge.
